AGRICULTURE From the City Council we must preserve this emblematic place,that is, La Huerta ( The Farm Land).Besides of being considered for the town as a green lung ,it connects it with the rest of the region .

Our main aims are : Supporting the traditional cultives and making them more profitable,to modernize the watering systems ,which are cheaper and more efficient, and finally,to develop an ecologic tourism taking advantage of the different green places that are in town.

Finally what we would like to do is to modernize our agriculture and to take advantage of our touristic qualities ,but always respecting and caring our traditions that make us feeling so proud of our town .

FISHING Fishing is another traditional economic sector,so we do not have to lose it. The bay and the river estuary form a rich fish ecosystem ,which produces a great income for many families.

The city council wants to protect hand made fishing, to develop touristic activities related to this sector and to develop fish farms and other sea cultives .Finally,Fishing and Agriculture are Guardamar´s population patrimony,so we must care and support it .
