Guardamar counts on a rich cultural patrimony. Our human community has pronounced itself throughout the time in different facets, agriculture, the fishing, the gastronomy, the language, the celebrations, etc., that constitute our cultural inheritance .

Knowing, recovering, offering, and sharing that tradition, is one of the high-priority objectives of this Council. Also the cultural protagonism is it to give back to Guardamar that during long time it has had in the region, and to do of the cultural supply, a complement and a support to the tourist activity and of leisure of our municipality. From the Council of Culture, we want to collaborate with the civil society of our town to harness the culture in the amplest sense of the word: the culture of the capacities of creation, perception, and global enrichment of each woman and each man of Guardamar.

We want to harness the musical practice and the interpretation, the taste to listen to live music, to go to concerts, the taste by the reading and the writing, the theater and the dance, the debate and the interchange of ideas, the analytical and critical capacity of people. We want to harness the quality of these cultural events and we want that all our neighbours that visit us throughout the year can take part in them. In relation to the later we know for sure that we must equip the different cultural associations of Guardamar of worthy spaces and institutional support.

A specially important chapter is the conservation of our archaeological patrimony, that is to be known and to be valued by guardamar population, and in addition is a patrimonial value that is very important for tourism in town.
